Rotary Scholarships to West Virginia University at Parkersburg

2006-2007

Wednesday, September 6, Armando Colombo represented Parkersburg Rotary at a WVU-P Luncheon. He is pictured here with Thomas 'TJ' Crislip, the recipient of a $1,300.00 Parkersburg Rotary Scholarship.

The WVU at Parkersburg Foundation manages the Parkersburg Rotary Scholarship and also manages the Sour Mash Scholarship which awarded $900.00 to Rachel Turner this year.

Both scholarships honor students who have evidenced high academic acheivement and have distinguished themselves through community service. Scholar selections are made each spring by faculty and staff of WVU-P.

These scholarships should not be confused with the Bryce/Leitzke/Martin Scholarship Fund managed through the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation. The Bryce/Leitzke/Martin Fund underwrites the expenses of young scholars who qualify through their interest in golf in addition to standards of academic and community service achievement.
