District 7530 Orientation

In 2005-6 Rotary Youth Exchange underwent a lot of procedural changes designed to provide a safer environment for all students. Here the students are listening to District Youth Exchange Chairperson, John Stone. The orientation was held at an Episcopal Retreat called "Sandscrest" just north of Oglebay Park in Wheeling. These students are just starting their year in the West Virginia. Our district was one of the first districts in the world to be fully certified with our Youth Exchange Program.



Below is the "before" picture of this year's group of Inbound Exchange students. One arrived the night before and one more was due in the next day.

As well as student orientation there was host family orientation. Then the students hooked up with their families and went to start their year in West Virginia. The Inbound program would never happen if it were not for people in West Virginia opening their homes to these students--thank you

Here two parents are sending their children out to discover new worlds. Both students and parents are "Lead(ing) the Way".
